Joel Chan (陳山聰) attended the Hong Kong Marathon (渣打香港馬拉松) for the third year. Although it was rainy, Joel thought the cool weather actually makes it much more comfortable to run compared to last year: "This year is the most comfortable to run, very good!" In regards to the inconsistent intensity of the rain, he said it didn't affect him much however when it rained on him, it actually made him feel emotional. He calculated his speed and said it took him approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete the marathon, exceeding his goal: "Last year, I ran for 3 hours and 54 minutes. If it's 3 hours and 50 minutes, I am very happy. Even if it's five minutes I would be happy. I would ask the organizers about the actual results later. (Would there be more accidents due to the rain?) I didn't see people fall, I've been running along the curbs so it's probably safe. It's just that running the first 1K was a bit hard because there were a lot of people coming in and out." After he finished the marathon, he waited for his friend Jack Wu (胡諾言) to return at the finish line. The two took a photo together as a memory. Jack finished ran half of the marathon in 1 hour and 47 minutes.
