Sunny Chan exposes his autism son is starting to turn vain
Sunny Chan (陳錦鴻) participates in the drawing at an event with his wife, To Man Wai (杜雯惠) and his son, Edgar Chan (陳駕樺) on 02 December. He shows his patience towards his son and is willing to carry him when taking photo together.
Sunny expresses his autism son is 11 year old, studies primary 5 and manages to rank number 11 in the school. He does not expect Edgar Chan to be intelligent but improves his communication skills and independence. Sunny adds that his son is turning into teenager and starting to become vain and restricting his diet.
Asking if he will film series again, Sunny replies it depends on the script and role character as his son may assume he is a real villain and it changes his thinking after watching the series.

Phoenix Rising series has poor ratings record; Louisa So praises it is a good series
TVB broadcasts the series, Phoenix Rising (蘭花刼) filmed 10 years ago and the cast team member include Louisa So (蘇玉華), Sunny Chan (陳錦鴻), Ben Wong (黃智賢), Jack Wu (胡諾言) and others. When mentioned about the poor rating record during an event on 07 June, Louisa says: "The series is filmed 10 years ago and the view is not as clear as now. Everyone gives our full efforts and the script is not bad. Perhaps it is related to technology problem? I don't care anyway."
Sunny is not disappointed about the ratings record and says: "I feel happy that it is airing now and the artiste wish to have more audiences seeing their masterpiece other than getting paid. It is still better when compared to nobody watching it."

Kristal Tin wins the Best Frozen Age Actress Contest
TVB broadcasts the series, Phoenix Rising (蘭花劫) at golden prime time slot and the audiences compare the acting skills of the female main leads such as Kristal Tin (田蕊妮), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Louisa So (蘇玉華) and Leila Tong (唐寧). TVB creates the contest, the Best Frozen Age Actress (最凍齡女藝人選舉) on their website and the nomination includes Kristal Tin, Nancy Wu, Louisa So, Leila Tong and Celine Ma (馬蹄露). Kristal emerges as the champion, follow by Leila, Louisa, Nancy and Celine.

Phoenix Rising series: Kristal Tin cannot stand Sunny Chan talking continuously to her everyday
Kristal Tin (田蕊妮) was promoting Phoenix Rising (蘭花劫) series on 19 May and recalled that she was a newcomer and felt very scared upon joining TVB 10 years ago. Sunny Chan is worried about losing his job and hopes to renew contract with TVB
Sunny Chan (陳錦鴻) was promoting Phoenix Rising (蘭花劫) series which was filmed in 2007 on 19 May and expressed his desire to renew contract with TVB after February 2018 as he will be unemployed by then: "Of course, I wish to return to TVB and am willing to do any work. Hopefully the ratings record for the series is good and I am worried about losing my job. Hence, I agree immediately when Catherine Tsang (曾勵珍) contact me to promote the series." As Sunny is currently TVB actor, he will not film series for other television companies.

TVB will be airing Phoenix Rising (蘭花劫) series on 29th May after My Unfair Lady (不懂撒嬌的女人) series, Phoenix Rising series was a production in 2007 and it starred Louisa So (蘇玉華), Kristal Tin (田蕊妮), Leila Tong (唐寧), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Sunny Chan (陳錦鴻), Ben Wong (黃智賢), Jack Wu (胡諾言) and others. Sunny Chan's Autism son achieves excellent results & becomes top one in school
Artiste Sunny Chan (陳錦鴻) has a son, Edgar Chan (陳駕樺), suffering from autism and currently studying in primary school, he has excellent results and even becomes the top one in the school.
Two years ago, Edgar was criticised to have handicap and autism but under the care and guidance of his parents, Sunny and To Man Wai (杜雯惠), Edgar managed to achieve good results and the success was recognised by others. His mother, To Man Wai, said: "The name is not important. It is vital not to feel depressed as an autism child.
