35 years old Tavia Yeung (楊怡) and 30 years old Him Law (羅仲謙) were in a sweet relationship for three years and rumours of them getting married was circulated as well. Yesterday morning, some readers discovered they wore spectacles, masks and dressed in couple outfits to queue up among thousands of people in Hung Hom (紅磡) for new property launch, LOHAS Park situated in Tseung Kwan O (將軍澳). Tavia's mother also accompanied them to queue and it was almost certain they had intentions to build their 'love nest'. As it was extremely crowded, Him became her 'bodyguard' and protected his girlfriend from the chaos.
Buying property means hearing wedding bells soon?
In fact, Tavia had already decided Him Law will be her future husband and with his smooth career currently, it could mean that buying property meant they planned to get married soon. Last year, Tavia renewed her contract with TVB for two years and had been viewing property ever since. However, she failed to purchase it and was viewing property again this morning. In the eyes of the public, it had been perceived that Him's career was below Tavia all along but he managed to make the company to pamper him and renew the contract for 9 years based on 'happy' rates last year. During the phone interview with ON.CC (東網) and when asked if she was buying property with her boyfriend, Tavia said: "I have some knowledge in this area and tell him (Him Law) to invest. No plans for marriage yet and it will be in the future." She added that she was not selected this round and will try again next time.
As for Him Law, he told the reporters that he was interested to invest: "Tavia gave me some opinion. Buying property in Tseung Kwan O is easier for me to go to work, and I admire its design and potential. (Buying property with Tavia together?) There was other schemes previously. Rates was increased by three times
Him Law joined the entertainment industry for 7 years and he was filming the new movie, The Monkey King 2 (西遊記之孫悟空三打白骨精) with Gong Li (鞏俐), Aaron Kwok (郭富城) and other artistes last year. Him acted as the Sha Wujing (沙僧) and his rates was at 2 million (Renminbi) which was increased by three times when compared to the male supporting role in the first movie.
No problem in purchasing property at high price
Him Law will be filming two series this year and his rate was based on HKD$8,000 for each episode. Each series had 40 episodes and this earned him an income of HKD$320,000. In addition, he will be filming new movie of large scale production in Mainland China end of the year and his rate was at 1.5 million (Renminbi). Finally with the pool of advertisement endorsements, looks like Him has no problem to purchase property even at sky-high price.
