Mong Kok's conflicts, Andy Lau plead to police to properly handle situation

Starting from four days ago, a large group of anti-Occupy Central people arrived at Mong Kok to guard the streets. Nonviolent protestors who were fighting for their general elections caused large-scale conflicts which included a protestor being chased and beaten until his head was bleeding. There were also female protestors who were sexually harassed. Andy Lau (劉德華) yesterday at his official website left a message, praying that the police force would properly handle the situation, protecting the students' safety in the process.

Tells protestors to protect their own safety

He said: "The situation that I have been afraid of has really happened! The contradictions of the people has been magnified! This is something no people who loves Hong Kong would want to see. Students, the ones who expressed their pleas, you have to understand how to protect your own safety. I hope the law enforcers and the police properly handle the situation, putting in their best efforts to protect the students, protestors, and also the general public's safety to let Hong Kong remain peaceful."
