Journey to the West's ratings decreases by 1 pt & receives another 135 complaints
TVB overseas purchased series, Journey to the West (西遊記) continued to air on second week and the ratings was reduced by 1 pt and achieved 20 pts only. It lost around 65,000 audiences and the lowest rating was 20 pts. Looking at the current ratings situation, it seemed the battle was losing. Since the debut of the series, Communications Authority had already received 1,100 complaints and another 119 complaints on the second week. Also, TVB received 16 complaints to stop airing the series and the total made up of 135 complaints.
On last thursday, Scoop (東張西望) was giving a tour of TVB city and while interviewing, the host insisted Chia Hui Liu (劉家輝) who had a stroke to smile in front of the camera. Thus, this invited negative feedbacks and Communications Authority received 63 complaints which consisted of lacking of respect, made the patient felt uneasy, and took the opportunity to promote television station.
However, the deputy director of TVB's corporate communications department clarified that Chia Hui Liu (劉家輝) worked with TVB several years and he was in a stable condition now, thus they arranged a gathering for him and his old colleagues and it was very common.
As for the series, Never Dance Alone (女人俱樂部), it achieved an average ratings of 25 pts and increased by 1 pt last week. It had 1.62 millions viewerships and the highest rating was 28 pts.
