Dayo Wong takes the lead and persuades Carol Cheng to film sequel of War of the Genders series
TVB classic series, War of the Genders (男親女愛) starring Dayo Wong (黃子華) and Carol Cheng (鄭裕玲) achieved excellent results of 50 rating pts at that time and both of them won Most Popular Male Character (我最喜愛的電視男角色) and Most Popular Female Character (我最喜愛的電視女角色) Awards as well. Carol was then promoted to TV Queen and it left an unforgettable memory to their fans.
It has been 15 years since they filmed the series and the cast members included Dayo (Yu Lok Tin), Carol (Francis Mo), Patrick Tang (鄧健泓) (Siu Tit Nam), Joyce Chan (陳彥行) (Apple) and Ram Chiang (蔣志光) (James Tsim) had gathering at times. On 28 December, they had dinner together with Executive Producer, Steven Tsui (徐正康) to mark the 15th anniversary years of War of the Genders series. Carol uploaded their group photo and it caused many netizens asked about the next collaboration of the original cast team after that.
Lok Tin is promoted to lawyer and boss
In fact, there is no need for the fans to be anxious as the main lead, Dayo has been persuading Steven Tsui to act as the Executive Producer with the original cast team lately. However as Steven is busy with the new series, You Who Came from the Kitty Star (來自喵喵星的你) with the original cast team from Ghost of Relatively (鬼同你OT) series while Dayo is busy until mid year 2016, it is predicted the filming will start end year 2016.
Carol might change her mind
Although Carol expressed she will not film series again, but the attractive terms and continuous persuading from Dayo seemed to change her mind. Anyway, Dayo is a smooth talker and changing Carol's mind is definitely not a problem.
When the reporters from ON.CC (東網) tried to verify with Steven Tsui, he admitted that Dayo did discuss about filming the series with original cast team but the plan was not confirmed yet: "Everyone is interested and no resistance from Carol too. But I have series in beginning year 2016 and Dayo is busy with concert, hence we need to wait until end year 2016. Everybody is missing the happy moments during the filming."
