Ruco Chan believes Bobby Au Yeung and Wayne Lai stand high chance to win award
Artiste Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), Grace Chan (陳凱琳), Tony Hung (洪永城), Kelly Fu (傅嘉莉), Mandy Wong (黃智雯), Joel Chan (陳山聰), film producer, Leung Choi Yuen (梁材遠) and others attended the dinner gathering in celebration of finale of Captain of Destiny (張保仔) series in Kwun Tong. Newly crowned TV King, Ruco was celebrating with the cast members and they opened bottle of champagne, and the fans also spent 3 bottles to support him. However, Ruco only stayed for a short while as he needed to film Heroes of the Walled City (城寨英雄) series.
Ruco said: "Getting award does not cross my mind and tonight is a special celebration. Congratulations to the series achieving good results. (Increase your confidence for the ceremony end of the year?) I have confidence every year, as lack of confidence will waste the opportunity given by others. (A share in treating dinner tonight?) Yes and others chip in as well. (Bigger share from you?) No problem to pay all and happiness is most important." Ruco expressed many friends congratulated him after returning to Hong Kong and this made him very touched. As he was busy filming Heroes of the Walled City and Brother's Keeper II (巨輪II) series, the celebration events will line up until mid of December.
When asked which series stood higher chance to win, Ruco said: "Lord of Shanghai (梟雄) has yet to broadcast and hope Captain of Destiny will have good results. Understand that Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) acted as big villain and it is a breakthrough for him. Bobby Au Yeung (歐陽震華) has good acting skills and they have high chance to win. (Yourself?) We have to consider the entire production of the series. Lord of Shanghai series has a strong cast team while Captain of Destiny series is the first drama with special effects and there is many room for developments."
