The filming crew of Ip Man 3 released a statement last evening expressing that a few days ago, Donnie and Max was filming a fight scene using Wing Chun's eight chopping knives (八斬刀). Donnie was accidentally struck by Max's knife, causing his nose to bleed and becoming swollen. While attending his injury with ice, Donnie jokingly said that he's too worried about his nose injury, he's not practicing his scenes, obstructing the filming progress. Max explained that their mutual attacks were very quick, "Within a thousandth of a second, my knife landed on Donnie's face and nose.
