Falls and injures pelvis and left knee, Lin Xia Wei insists to continue working

TVB artiste Lin Xia Wei (林夏薇) is recently collaborating with Tavia Yeung (楊怡), Louis Cheung (張繼聰), and Mat Yeung (楊明) in new series "Anti-war Tangxi" (逆戰塘西). One week ago in TVB city at the start of work, not only did she fall and injure herself, but her whole body fell to the floor, injuring her pelvis and left knee. After the incident, staffs at the scene immediately rushed over to help her off the floor. After getting up, a large part of Xia Wei's knees became swollen and painful. She immediately requested to be sent to the hospital to be x-rayed. Fortunately, none of her muscles and bones were injured.

Insist to continue working

Xia Wei accepted a phone interview and expressed that the doctor suggested her to rest for a period of time, but she insisted to continue working. She returned to film a dancing scene: "I can still walk, and for this dancing scene, I am not the one that needs to dance the most, so I hope it wouldn't impact me that much. (Rest a bit?) When the doctor heard that I still want to work, he was surprised. But it was the last day for that scene, I don't want to affect others, have to bear the pain no matter what. The doctor prescribed me some analgesic medicine and ointment."

Tavia Yeung hopes Xia Wei will be alright

Being one of the people who witnessed the incident, Tavia Yeung expressed that everyone who saw her get injured was extremely anxious. She worriedly said: "I'm afraid that she will suffer internal injury from her fall. Seeing that she injured her pelvis, I was really worried. It is a lot of troubles for women to injure that area, really hope that she will be alright! (Afraid will affect filming progress?) She is really strong, nothing to fear, even if she rests, it's something she ought to do." As for producer Fong Chun Chiu (方駿釗), he said he called Xia Wei to express his regards; he believes her injury is not too serious: "We know it's a bit painful for her to walk, so light scenes are okay, but if there are scenes with many movements, we will arrange a stunt person for those scenes as much as possible. (Did she request to stop filming?) She is very professional, insisted to continue to finish up filming. The series has filming until the end of January."
