Who is Selena Li and Tavia Yeung's choice for TV Queen award?
TVB organised a dinner function in TV City and 1800 staff attended, including artistes, Tavia Yeung (楊怡), Selena Li (李詩韻), Jinny Ng (吳若希), Jacqueline Chong (莊思敏) and others.
When mentioned about nominated in Top 5 for TV Queen award, Selena said: "Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) is very powerful. Nevertheless, I feel happy for being nominated and will wear pretty outfit. (No way to fight for TV Queen?) Nope, everyone's acting is very good. Charmaine is given the right timing and opportunity. Plus, the series is very popular." Asked if she set any targets for herself, Selina disclosed she hoped to become TV Queen within 5 years and said: "I hope to become TV Queen before my contract expires in 5 years time."
As for Tavia Yeung, when the reporters asked if she chose to surrender or her choice of voting for TV Queen award, Tavia refused to surrender and supported Charmaine Sheh. She said: "I am not surrendering but will vote for Charmaine Sheh. She is very popular and I treat it as accompanying for this year. (No chance to become TV Queen?) Charmaine acts very well based on the series and role. I am elated! We need not fight against each other yearly."
When asked if she gave her vote to her rumoured boyfriend, Him Law (羅仲謙), for TV King award, Tavia laughed and said that he needed to work harder: "He knows I support him but will give my vote to Roger Kwok (郭晉安). I am happy to know he is nominated and needs to work harder." When mentioned about TVB Chairman, Norman Leung (梁乃鵬), announced that TVB will be focusing in other markets, Tavia pointed that it was good to venture outside Hong Kong and said: "TVB has good reputation and our artistes have enriching acting experience. Thus, we do not really worry about not receiving any money."
