Joe Ma (馬德鐘) and his wife, Cheung Siu Lan (張筱蘭) attended the dinner function for Ren Ai charity and Joe expressed that he had became their ambassador for several years. When asked if they think of becoming the vice-premier, Joe replied that the charity spirit is vital and he will bring his son along to attend any charity activities.
Joe hoped his son will understand that the society had many people who needed helping hands and should not take happiness for granted. Joe said "Most importantly, he must show love to elderly people and he is thoughtful to her granny."
