Alan filmed TVB series, Young Charioteers (衝線) with Sammy Sum (沈震軒) previously and when mentioned Sammy hinted he was 'frozen' due to contract problems with TVB, Alan replied he supported his good friend's decision: "We chat on the phone frequently but seldom meet up. (Send text to console him?) Yes and I will support whatever his decision is. (How many years have you worked with TVB?) 1.5 years (Artist contract). My manager and I also signed contract with movie company but my priority remains TVB as I start my career from there."
