New movie, Return of the Cuckoo: Charmaine Sheh used substitute for bungee jumping scene
In December 2014, the filming for movie version, Return of the Cuckoo (十月初五的月光) starring Julian Cheung (張智霖) and Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) begun and was supposed to end in February 2015, but it took 7 months to complete and heavily exceeded the budget instead. It was reported that the reason was the accommodating of Julian, Nancy Sit (薛家燕) and Joe Chen's (陳喬恩) work schedule.
There was a bungee jumping scene of 'You jump, I jump' and the female lead, Charmaine was supposed to jump. However, she kept hesitating to jump due to her old injury and fear of height, and finally decided to use substitute for the scene.
During the celebration banquet scene on that day, the heavy downpour weather affected the filming scene in Macau Tower and changed to bungee jumping scene instead. It also borrowed the dialogue, 'You jump, I jump' in Titanic movie. Hence, the main leads, Julian and Charmaine needed to continue the filming despite the bad weather. In fact, Charmaine wanted to film the scene by herself and the crew team had prepared safety precaution for her. When Julian were ready to jump with her, Charmaine hesitated again and decided to use substitute at eleventh hour.
