Taiwanese artiste Alec Su (蘇有朋) and Ruby Lin (林心如) became good friends after acting in Mainland China series, My Fair Princess (還珠格格) more than 10 years ago. A few days ago, Alec attended the press conference of his debut movie in Beijing and Ruby showed her support as well. Surprisingly, Alec exposed that she had a boyfriend but stopped halfway, and this made the public speculating if she indeed had a partner. As such, his words caused some interferences and rumours about Ruby's personal life but both expressed it was a misunderstanding.
Alec replied through his manager that he was creating a joke about Ruby's new movie, Let's Get Married (我們結婚吧！) and did not expected everybody treated it seriously, and offered his apology. As for Ruby, her manager clarified Ruby had no partner currently and Alex had already apologised to her in private.
