Recently, Artiste Mandy Wong (黃智雯) departed to Dong Autonomous County an area located in south western area of Hunan province to film for TVB's travel program Worlds Great Parties (過節). Mandy went to a local area to celebrate Hunan's Half year celebration. The purpose of the celebration is to celebrate the success of the harvest season.
As for Mandy who loves to dance, dressed in a traditional outfit, wearing a silver crown, necklace, bracelets and other accessories around her waist to take part in learning the culture's dance. Afterwards she and the people drank wine and officially becoming the festival's guest. Mandy also participated in a feast with about two hundred people, enjoying and experiencing authentic cuisines cooked by each household.
Afterwards, Mandy also visited the Guangxi province, which had a total of thirty thousand people who participated in the June Six Song Festival. The song is known to the traditional of the Dong people to find their other half. When they find 'the one', they can immediately become lovers. Mandy said she fell in love with a tall and handsome Dong man, but in a flash he was snatched away by a Dong girl. She then saw a foreign man and had an enjoyable time dancing and singing together to celebrate the festival.
