Kate Tsui is having problems in her career? Charmaine Sheh become her obstacle?
35 years old Kate Tsui (徐子珊) participated in 2007 movie, Eye in the Sky (跟蹤), which won herself the Best Newcomer Award (最佳新演員) during Hong Kong Film Award (香港電影金像獎), and it was assumed her career will develop smoothly. Despite filming for more than 10 movies, Kate failed to have breakthrough and her position in the entertainment industry was getting shaky as well. Earlier, she acted as an autism woman in the movie, Knock Knock Who's There (有客到), directed by Carrie Ng (吳家麗), and challenged herself to film the rat scene in order to seek for breakthrough.
Trying to look for breakthrough but Charmaine Sheh was her obstacle
Although Kate had been eagerly looking for breakthrough in movie industry, but Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) suddenly became her obstacle. Charmaine became the TV Queen based on last year series, Line Walker (使徒行者). Next, she was the main lead in the new movie, Triumph in the Skies (衝上雲霄), heavily invested by TVB and this boosted her popularity to the next level. Also, the confidence for filming the movie version of Line Walker also came from Charmaine. As such, Kate was extremely worried about her career in movie market upon witnessing Charmaine's excellent achievements. According to the source, this brought pounding headache to Kate instantly. She confided to her friend and also requested TVB senior management to pave the road for her in the movie industry and regain her position before Charmaine made her way into movie market successfully.
Depressed and confided in her friend
A few days ago around 4.30pm in the Central, Kate wore black shade without any make-up and walked into a cafe. Her female friend arrived after a short while and she became the 'servant' whom took the initiative to walk away from her seat and order for her friend. It was surprising as Kate was used to serve by her manager and assistant. Kate then hurriedly returned to her seat as if she had lot of worries to confide to her friend.
In the cafe, Kate did not stop talking and her friend undertook the listener role, and kept frowning and became depressed after listening to her friend's opinion. Eventually, Kate's mouth shape became a bitter gourd. Nevertheless, it was obvious that she failed to find a solution and they left the cafe together around 6.30pm.
