Based on the report from Ming Pao (明報周刊), Joey had no intention to become career woman and the reason for her departure was her 6 beloved cats passed away for the past 15 months. Apparently, she had been having ups and downs while filming Come on, Cousin and With or Without You (東坡家事). Hence, Joey decided to stop and go for a vacation in Europe. Currently, she is negotiating with some work arrangements but wishes to take a break first and go for holiday with her husband.
