It is reported that TVB actress, Alice Chan (陳煒) failed to get along with Joey Meng (萬綺雯) when working in ATV together as she was pointed for being 'extra' for her performance at that time and this built up her resentments over the years. Hence, she signed 7 years long contract with TVB and rebutted as 'Ah Jie 一姐' position. However, Alice denied it and said: "I did not hear about the 'extra' word before during all these years."
Alice emphasised signing contract was based on individual work arrangement and unrelated to others: "Adding 7 years is my job and why should I let others to affect my plan? I signed contract with TVB as have interest in acting and hope to have more opportunities. I feel happy for filming many series and there is room for development. It is unrelated to others and somebody is creating story only." She also denied about having disputes with Joey Meng.
